During the processing of Fluid products, the control of temperature is vital in ensuring flavour and quality.
Pasteurisation can be achieved by introducing a Heat Exchanger into the production process, where temperature controlled fluid is passed in the opposite direction alongside the product without direct contact or contamination.
There are several different basic types of Heat Exchanger but one of the most commonly used is the Plate Heatexchanger.
The standard design of the Plate Heat Exchanger is that of ported corrugated plates, sandwiched between 2 heavy end plates, pulled together by tie bolts and sealed with gaskets. At the top and bottom of the assembly, each plate is keyed to rails for alignment and rigidity.
The configuration of the individual plates and gaskets gives flexibility of flow and capacity for differing performance, dependant on production requirements. Future expansion is easily achieved by increasing the number of plates within the capacity of the frame.
This simple assembly creates an easily maintained system, where gasket leakage is easily recognised without costly unnecessary downtime.
Manufactured in Stainless Steel (304 and 316) and Titanium, gasket plate Heat Exchangers are particularly suited for use in a low pressure and low temperature situation.
Daken Stainless Products are suppliers of gaskets for all the leading manufacturers of Gasket Plate Heat Exchangers.
We offer fast quotations on price and delivery of OEM spare parts for APV, Alfa Laval, Pasilac, Swep, GEA, Tranter and Vicarb units.
